AccountNow Bolsters Marketing and Technology Prowess with Arrival of Chief Marketing Officer and Vice President of Technology
SAN RAMON, CA, January 29, 2008 – AccountNow, Inc., the financial services company for good people turned away by banks, announced the addition of two key executives to its management team. Joining the company are Paul Rosenfeld as Chief Marketing Officer and Simon Williams as Vice President of Technology.
The announcement, made by company CEO Tim Coltrell, signifies AccountNow’s commitment to further establishing itself as a leader in providing financial services to the estimated 40 million Americans who comprise the unbanked and underbanked population in the U.S.
"The addition of Paul and Simon to our already stellar team of finance, risk management, and operations leaders allows us to ramp up two areas that are essential to our plans to grow AccountNow as the trusted financial services company for an important, but mostly overlooked group of good people who have been shunned by traditional banking institutions," said Coltrell.
Rosenfeld arrives from Intuit, Inc., where he led the team that most recently pioneered and launched the next generation of online banking for small businesses and consumers, called FinanceWorks. He also presided as General Manager over two of the fastest growing online divisions at Intuit, the QuickBooks Online Edition and the QuickBooks Merchant Services product lines. Prior to Intuit, Rosenfeld spent six years at American Express, where he helped launch the company’s first Gift Card program and an online line of credit for the Small Businesses Services division.

A pioneer in the technology behind prepaid wireless services, Williams has worked at emerging and publicly traded wireless telecommunications and technology companies for the past 22 years. Prior to joining AccountNow, Williams served as Vice-President of Engineering at Goodmail Systems, Inc., a provider of email services. Prior to that, Williams ran a software and consulting company for 8 years, and counted France Telecom, Orange, Pacific Bell and Bell Atlantic among his clients. In 1994 Williams was one of the co-founders of Aethos Communication Systems, the company that pioneered the growth of prepaid mobile phone usage in Europe prior to its sale to Logica CMG PLC.
